Track attendance

Attendance shows who has arrived, is still on site or has left. Track it beside each person in the event Directory.

Tracking must be enabled. Settings determine when check-in opens, whether people can check themselves in and whether tracking covers arrival only or arrival and departure. Recording for someone else requires the corresponding permission.

Record attendance

  1. Open Directory and find the person.
  2. Open their profile and the Attendance area.
  3. Use Check in arrival when they arrive.
  4. If departure tracking is active, use Check out when they leave. Use Check in a return for another visit.

The attendance tabs help find people who have not arrived, are present, have left or are absent. Someone who has not arrived is not automatically declared absent.

A check-in does not grant or remove a function, dynamic role or permission. It describes attendance, not work assignments.

Declare an absence

In the profile, select Declare absent, enter a reason and a useful comment, then confirm. Only authorized leads can read the reason and comment; other participants see the absence state.

Absence does not automatically redistribute responsibilities. After declaring the absence, Replace appears in the profile if your permissions allow it and no replacement is already active. While the event remains open, choose who takes over and review dynamic roles, individually assigned tasks to transfer and proposed permissions before confirming the replacement.

Correct and close

Use Correct for an incorrect time and give a reason. Correcting your own attendance may require a lead’s approval; the previous value is retained.

At the end, attendance closeout handles arrivals without a departure. Enter a known time or leave the period to be regularized. EventOps does not infer departure from the event’s end time.
