Criticality
Criticality describes the severity of a log entry. Your organisation chooses the level names and their order, from lightest to most severe. For example: “Information”, “Monitor” and “Intervention needed”.
You need permission to manage criticality levels.
Add a level
- Open Settings → Log → Criticality.
- Select Add a level.
- Enter the Label and choose a Colour.
- Keep Active enabled to offer the level when entering information.
- Enable Default level if it should be suggested for a new entry.
- Select Save.
The level appears in the scale. Only one level can be the default at a time.
Give the order meaning
Arrange levels from lightest to most severe by dragging them. On a phone, use the Move up and Move down arrows. The order is saved after each move and determines sorting in the log’s Criticality column.
Colour helps people recognise a level; its position in the scale represents its severity.
Stop offering a level
Select Edit on its row, turn off Active, then select Save. The level leaves entry forms and filters; earlier entries keep their label. You must keep at least one active level.
Delete has a different effect: entries remain readable but lose this criticality. The confirmation shows how many are affected.
What about alerts?
Creating a level does not define an alert or an automatic escalation. Those behaviours are configured in event templates and in each event’s settings.
To collect other information with an entry, add log fields.
